The type of sink will make a difference to the overall look of the kitchen as well as the quote. We supply a range of sinks to suit your needs should you wish to purchase them directly from us. Please click here for sink models available and contact us for pricing. Please make sure your sink, hob and fittings (unless we are supplying) are on site when we come over to take actual measurements. Please also ensure that suitable support is provided under the sink, especially if the sink being used is ceramic.
Unless the drainer grooves are part of the sink itself, you may wish to consider having drainer grooves in the counter top. We offer two type of styles, either grooves only or an integrated drain board with grooves cut in the kitchen top. You also need to decide if you would like these to be on the left hand side or the right hand side of the sink bowl.
Finish off your new kitchen with up-stands and/ or splash-backs to match the worktop. Splash-backs go all the way up to the top of the top-cupboards while up-stands are usually of 50mm high. Splash-backs are convenient for splash/splatter prone areas of the kitchen such as behind the hob or sink.
There are no rules, this is completely a matter of personal taste. Just think about practicality and aesthetics.
We pre-cut all wall plugs at the factory in order to provide a more precise finish. This means that all wall plugs’ position need to be finalized prior to our site visit and measuring. If you are having pop-ups on your counter-top, you would need to have them readily available on-site on the day we measure. Rabat Marbles offers a range of pop-ups that enable you to have a seamless look by having the top cover made from the same counter-top material.
You need to decide whether you would like to use the island and/or peninsula as a breakfast bench. Usually we allocate between 25cm to 30cm outwards from the cabinets underneath for enough leg room for stools.
